Courses for Kids

Diving is a fantastic way for kids to keep active, build their confidence, learn about the underwater world, and meet friends with similar interests. Kids can start to scuba dive from as young as 8-years-old with the Bubblemaker experience and the PADI Seal Team program, which involves fun and games in a safe swimming pool environment with a PADI Instructor.

PADI BUBBLEMAKER

Children 8 years and up can join in the family fun of scuba diving or even start a trend! With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 metres. Typical sessions last about an hour (sign up, gear up and fun included). Celebrate a birthday by throwing an exciting Bubblemaker party with friends and family. It’s fun, easy and safe. Dive equipment rental is included with this experience.

PADI SEAL TEAM

The PADI Seal Team is for young divers (aged 8 and up) who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by doing exciting scuba AquaMissions, like taking digital pictures underwater or floating effortlessly like an astronaut. Here's your chance to do some cool stuff in the pool, meet friends and share in the adventure of the underwater world. This is also an excellent way to get into scuba diving prior to full Open Water Diver certification. The PADI Seal Team program is broken into two parts:

Part 1: AquaMissions 1 to 5 teach kids the basics like buoyancy control, mask clearing, regulator recovery, and they can earn PADI Seal Team Membership. Dive equipment rental and learning materials are included with this course.

Part 2: 10 additional Specialty Aquamissions (about 1 hour each) to earn PADI Master Seal Team Membership. Dive equipment rental is included with this course. The learning materials for the Specialty Aquamissions are included in the Seal Team book issued in part 1.

PART 1: Five AquaMissions

More PADI Courses

From 10-years-old, kids can join in activities in the sea through the Discover Scuba Diving experience or by getting their PADI Junior Scuba Diver or Junior Open Water Diver licence.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! 10-year-olds with the Junior Open Water Diver licence can go on to the Junior Adventure Diver course and enjoy new underwater activities like photography, navigation and fish identification. Then from the age of 12, divers can work towards their Junior Advanced Open Water Diver qualification in which they can dive a little deeper and experience new activities. Each new activity also has a corresponding Specialty Course, where divers learn more about their chosen activity and get lots of practice (course requirements vary).

For those 12- to 14-year-olds wanting to expand their knowledge and learn to look beyond themselves to consider the safety and well-being of other divers, the Junior Rescue Diver course offers a fun and challenging course.

At the age of 15, divers can get the regular (non-Junior) certifications.
