The Calypso Diving Center has a new look and new features for our guests to enjoy, including a diving information center at the beachfront, a photographers’ station, newly renovated classrooms and a new seminar room for events and training for school groups. Local artist Alberto Nunez has done us proud with his paintings to really give the center that extra pizzazz! Visit us on the White Beach of Boracay to see what’s new…
Registration is required prior to the event, with all registered players receiving a T-shirt, welcome drink and entry into the prize draw raffle (Saturday). Pre-register by visiting Calypso on White Beach or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Play for your chance to lift the World Cup for your country in 2010!
This week we have been doing some planning for our next trip to Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, scheduled for next April, and we’ve been reminiscing. So we thought we’d share with you a few snippets from the last trip diary to give you a feel for this fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Site.
“The walls are incredible at Jeasy Bleassy Reef with huge fan corals and lots of whitetips. A thresher shark even came in to say ‘hi’ for a couple of seconds!”
“Triggerfish City was a surprise with a big hammerhead!”
“Watching dolphins and taking a quick dip with them was amazing: they are so fast and noisy underwater.”
“Malayan Wreck: hundreds of schooling red bass snappers, greyreef sharks and whitetips everywhere.”
“At Shark Airport, the shark sightings begin right on the descent, plus jacks, tunas, triggerfish and turtles.”
“We have a lovely touch down on land at Birds Island, where the migratory birds take a rest during their journey.”
“Washing Machine throws up a school of jacks, napoleon wrasse, tunas, turtles, and whitetip sharks are everywhere!”
“All of a sudden a 5-6m whale shark swam by very close at Cavili Island!”
Interested to join us at Tubbataha from 4-10 April 2011? Of course! Then, drop us an email and grab one of only 20 places for a 6 day / 5 night liveaboard to truly world-class diving sites.
